好奇她為何領著母親在鹿谷停留這麼多天?

3年前，她獨自來台灣旅行，有來過鹿谷，很喜歡山上的氛圍受到很多的幫助及熱情的回應，所以這次帶著媽媽一起來。(鄉親啊!台灣人的熱情似乎能成事啊!)

但我也回應她說”或許因你的外表，得到更多的熱情回應。”

她回說”但幫我的並不是都是年輕男生”

Just wonder why they stayed in Lugu for a few days?

It’s because three years ago, she travelled alone in Taiwan, had been to Lugu. She loves the countryside and the hospitality shown by the people here. So she brings her mother to visit here again.

I asked” Maybe people helped you because of your good looking.”

She laughed loudly replied “ Of course no. Not all of them are young gentlemen.”

遇到韓國人最想問的問題，是否韓國人特別是女生認為整形手術是很普通的事?

因為網路曾看到一則文章，韓國的選美公告上面，佳麗的外貌看起來都很類似。

她說”確實是如此的，整形在韓國算蠻普遍的。”

When I meet Koreans I desire to ask whether it is common for people do the plastic surgery. Because I have read news on the website about the Beauty Queen election, most of the ladies look similar. She replied” it’s truth. Doing the surgeon is common in Korea.”

金奎淑除了語言外，很像台灣的女生。且她很開朗，也會做菜，特別讓我母親羨慕的，她對母親無微不至的照顧(因她母親手受傷)，如朋友般親暱的互動。

Except she speaks Korean, Kim is like a Taiwanese lady. However, she is outgoing and easy going. She also cooks very well. My mother envies her mother has such a lovely daughter. She takes care of her mother so much and they look like close friends,

我母親在她們要離開的前一晚，特別準備當地料理與她們一起用餐，金用著不太靈光的中文與我母親互動，對她如同自己母親般依偎著，我想她徹底征服我媽的心了!她與她母親特別感謝我媽與她們分享此餐，因為她母親在台灣吃的部分很不習慣，難得合胃口的飽食一頓。

My mother prepared a nice local meal with them. Kim spoke not fluent Mandarin to mother to express her appreciation because her mother never had a nice meal during the period they stayed in Taiwan. She also regarded my mom as her mother. She totally won my mother’s heart. 

金的母親也特別關照我們家Brian，她今年七十歲了，有著一男一女都還沒嫁娶，特別懷著疼孫的心情，用著韓語與他有趣的互動著。

Kim’s mother liked to talk with Brian in Korean. It’s interesting. She is 70 years old. She has a son and a daughter haven’t married. Maybe she desires to have a grandson.

吃飽後，當然要讓外國朋友體驗一下，傳統式的台灣功夫茶泡茶，有朋遠方，滿室茶香，伴隨著歡笑聲、時而中文、台語、韓語、英語，這樣的組合別有一番趣味。

After dinner, I invited Kim to experience the traditional Taiwanese kungfu tea brewing. Friends come from far away. The tea house full of the aroma of tea, accompany with the sound of laughter. It’s interesting to speak mandarin, Taiwanese, Korean and English at the same time.
